Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 10, 2026
This privacy policy explains how JSONPost(“we”, “us”) handles information when you use our website and tools at jsonpost.com. The short version: the tools run in your browser, and we don't collect the data you process with them.
Your data stays on your device
Every JSONPost tool processes input locally in your browser using JavaScript. The JSON, text, files, and tokens you paste are never transmitted to, stored on, or logged by our servers. Conversions, validations, formatting, code generation, and every other operation happen entirely on your device. When you close the tab, that data is gone — we never had a copy.
This means it is safe to use JSONPost with sensitive material such as access tokens, private API responses, internal configuration, and customer data.
Files you upload
When a tool accepts a file — for example, the Excel to JSON converter — the file is read directly in your browser using the standard File API. It is processed in memory on your device and is never uploaded to a server.
Information we do not collect
We do not require an account, and we do not ask for your name, email, or any personal information to use the tools. We do not sell or share personal data, because we do not collect it in the first place.
Analytics
We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate, anonymous usage — for example, which tools are most popular or which pages are visited. Any such analytics measure traffic patterns only and never receive the content you paste into or generate with the tools.
Advertising
We may display sponsored cards (clearly labeled as “Ad”) to help keep the site free. These are simple links and do not have access to the data you process. If you click a sponsored link, the destination site has its own privacy practices, which we do not control.
Cookies and local storage
JSONPost uses minimal browser storage — for example, to remember your light or dark theme preference. We do not use cookies to track you across other websites.
Third-party services
The GeoJSON viewer loads map tiles from a public provider (OpenStreetMap) so it can display geometry on a map. Your GeoJSON itself is parsed and rendered locally; only standard map-tile requests are made to the tile provider. The site is hosted on third-party infrastructure that may process standard server logs (such as IP addresses) for security and reliability.
Children's privacy
JSONPost is a general-audience developer tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date above. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
